We know where every single oat in our smooth and creamy oat creamers comes from – our organic family farms in the U.S. heartland, where the soil is rich, the temperatures are ideal, and the farmers are committed to sustainable, organic farming.

Oat farmer Kevin and his wife Sara have farmed for over 40 years in the Midwest. They are thoughtful in their approach to taking care of the land that provides for their family, and all of us.
So, how does Kevin grow oats without these chemicals? He says planting the oats thick deters weeds and then there’s good ol’ hard work! Instead of chemicals, he puts a light touch on the land, hoeing and cultivating just enough to prevent weeds, while protecting the soil.

Third-generation farmer Robin, his wife Karen, and their three daughters, own and operate an organic farm in the heartland. Using the guidance of Mother Nature, science and experience contributes to the quality oats that go into making Organic Valley® Oat Creamers.
Dedicated land stewards, the family never uses synthetic pesticides or herbicides, like glyphosate, dicamba, and chlorpyrifos. Instead, they use natural methods to improve growing conditions, such as leaving the chaff (husks and stems) in the field after harvesting the kernels (the edible part of an oat plant). This can help reduce erosion and build organic matter, which contributes to soil health. Simply leaving things be is one way we can better the land without the use of synthetic chemicals.

The organic oats in Organic Valley® Oat Creamers are grown on the family farms in our cooperative. These are the only oat product options that come from our cooperative’s farms in the heartland of the USA where oats thrive. Organic oats grown without the use of toxic pesticides or herbicides in accordance with the standards of the USDA National Organic Program are the main ingredient in all Organic Valley® Oat Creamers.
We use organic low erucic rapeseed oil because it helps deliver a great flavor experience; enhance the creaminess in texture; create a more consistent blend that doesn’t separate in coffee or tea. Rapeseed oil is safe to consume and is widely used in cooking and in food products. Organic low erucic rapeseed oil is a version of rapeseed oil that meets organic standards and has a more neutral flavor, which makes it ideal for plant-based products.
From our own research and experience, we found that the new Organic Valley® Oat Creamers froth very well and believe consumers will agree!
We do not recommend freezing Organic Valley® Oat Creamers, as this may affect their texture, taste, and quality. Freezing may cause the oat products to separate, thicken, or crystallize, and they may not re-blend well after thawing. If you have leftover oat products that you want to use later, it is better to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use them within 7-10 days of opening.
