Our Cows Just Made the Greenest Ad. And it’s Creating Lots of buzz.
Why did our cows graze a giant message visible from miles above the Earth? To let the world know just how green Organic Valley’s pastures truly are. They (and the ads themselves) not only provide our cows with lush, green grass to turn into delicious milk, they provide critical habitat for buzzing bees, butterflies, birds and other wildlife. Plus, they absorb carbon from the atmosphere!
The Greenest Ad
Pollinator Friendly
Each letter is made up of a wide variety of organic grasses and wildflowers (with no toxic chemicals!) that create an ideal habitat for pollinators.
Sequesters Carbon
These ads (and all of our pastures) are natural green composting environments, which return nutrients to the soil and absorb carbon from the atmosphere.
Crafted By Cows
Our cows are the real artists here. Fencing is put up to create the shapes of the letters. Then the cows eat the grass around the fences, making the letters visible.
“Buzz-worthy means our land and farm is worthy of the bees and pollinators. If you build it, they will come, and we built it and they came.”

Our Organic Pastures Protect Nature
Our communities are losing small organic family farms at a rapid rate, and we have seen that when organic farms go away, they are gone forever. With your help, we can create a positive ripple effect that benefits organic farms and the entire ecosystem!
